Onyeka Onwenu's funeral was held in Lagos and it was a very emotional event.


 The legendary singer, journalist, and cultural icon, Onyeka Onwenu, also known as the "Elegant Stallion," has been buried in a moving ceremony in Lagos. Onyeka Onwenu, who died on July 30, 2024, at the age of 72, died from injuries she got after falling during an event to honor Emzor Pharmaceuticals' Managing Director, Dr. Stella Okoli.

Onyeka Onwenu fell and got hurt at Reddington Hospital in Ikeja, and she later passed away there. Her funeral service was held at The Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos.
After the funeral service, there was a private burial for Onyeka Onwenu at a mausoleum in Ikoyi. Many important people attended the event, including Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, and Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State.

Onyeka Onwenu's death has made many people sad because she was not only a great musician but also a well-known broadcaster, actor, politician, and activist. She leaves behind her two sons.

Videos from the burial ceremony have been shared online, and people from all over the country have been expressing their sadness and paying tribute to her.
