Nigeria 🇳🇬: Speed Darlington Sparks Outrage with N5M Offer for Idoma Mother for Future Child

Controversial Nigerian musician and internet personality Speed Darlington, born Darlington Okoye, has sparked widespread reaction across social media following a provocative public declaration regarding his search for the mother of his future child.

In a statement posted online, the singer offered a sum of five million naira to women from the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State while explicitly excluding women from his own ethnic background, the Igbo.

"Five million for any Idoma hookup girl willing to have my child. I don't want Igbo girls. I don't love them. I no even send my own mama sef," the musician stated.

The comments quickly went viral, drawing sharp criticism from netizens over his derogatory remarks toward Igbo women and his public stance on family relationships. While some social media users dismissed the statement as a publicity stunt typical of the entertainer's online persona, others condemned the tone and nature of the announcement.

Speed Darlington, known for his eccentric social media presence and outspoken commentary, has not issued any further clarification regarding the statement.
