South African actress Thuso Mbedu joined a star-studded lineup of international talent in Venice for the highly anticipated premiere of the latest installment in Miu Miu’s acclaimed short-film series, Miu Miu Women’s Tales.

The critically acclaimed star of The Woman King and The Underground Railroad made a striking appearance at the Venice International Film Festival, stepping out for the screening of "Avec Kim," directed by celebrated French filmmaker Claire Denis.

Mbedu took to social media to give fans a look at her time in Italy, sharing photos on Instagram with the caption, "Venice with @MiuMiu for #MiuMiuWomensTales".

Launched in 2011, the Miu Miu Women’s Tales initiative provides a platform for visionary female directors to critically examine femininity, identity, and modern life. The ongoing series commissions short films where characters subtly weave pieces from the Italian luxury fashion house into their narratives.
