Businessman Wale Jana Weighs In on P-Square Feud: "Jude is Greedy, Peter is Destructive"
Businessman and public commentator Wale Jana has added his voice to the ongoing public fallout involving the iconic music group P-Square, sharing a scathing assessment of the feud between brothers Jude, Peter, and Paul Okoye.
Reflecting on a multi-part tell-all video series recently released by Peter Okoye (Mr P), Jana did not hold back in criticizing elder brother and former manager Jude Okoye, while simultaneously warning that Peter’s emotional, high-stakes reactions could lead to total financial ruin for the legendary duo.
According to Jana, the root of P-Square’s collapse lies squarely with Jude Okoye, whom he accused of exploiting his younger brothers' talent for personal gain rather than acting as a supportive elder sibling. “Jude is not a good elder brother! God gave him an oil well he could have sat down and just enjoyed for the rest of his life, but he got greedy and started milking the sweat of his brothers,” Jana asserted.
Jana also highlighted what he described as unhealthy family dynamics, pointing out that Jude has leveraged his close bond with Paul (Rudeboy) to alienate Peter:
In every family, Jana noted, certain siblings are closer. In this case, Paul views Jude as a loving older brother, but Jude allegedly uses that trust to manipulate situations against Peter.
Jana declared that Jude “needs to leave P-Square alone” and step aside permanently for the group to survive.
While placing heavy blame on Jude, Jana was equally critical of Peter Okoye’s handling of the conflict. He described Peter’s approach as overly emotional and scorched-earth, warning that a refusal to compromise could burn down everything the brothers built over two decades.
Jana referenced a specific incident recounted by Peter, where an argument with Jude backstage escalated to threats of physical violence, prompting Peter to announce Jude’s dismissal online and subsequently report the matter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Peter is destructive—he doesn't mind for everything to burn if he feels like he is being cheated or sidelined,” Jana said, arguing that taking family business into legal and public arenas is counterproductive.
Jana sounded a grave warning regarding the economic consequences of the ongoing legal battles, noting that ongoing court actions and frozen accounts threaten to drain the family’s wealth.
With shows halted, legal fees mounting, and dispute-riddled catalogue royalties at risk of being frozen, Jana warned that the brothers face financial distress if they do not resolve their issues quickly:
“Hundreds of millions have already been frozen in court cases. Guess what will happen next? Their catalogue won't be worth a dime because of legal issues, royalties will stop, and shows have stopped already. All that will be left are legal bills!”
To drive his point home, Jana quoted Proverbs 24:32–34
“Then as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—Then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.”
Concluding his commentary, Jana urged Peter and Paul to put their personal grievances aside, cut out third-party interference, and focus on their newly registered corporate entity to produce new music.
“As a man, once money is involved, settle matters quickly,” Jana advised, stressing that the twin brothers must find common ground before the legal battle irreversibly destroys their legacy and livelihood.
