 The Nigerian entertainment industry has been plunged into mourning following the official announcement of the death of beloved actor and model, Alexx Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke.

The news was confirmed via a poignant statement shared by his family on his official Instagram page on Wednesday. According to the release, the actor passed away at Evercare Hospital  following a "brief but courageous battle" with  advanced metastatic kidney cancer

In the official statement, the family detailed the grace with which the actor faced his final days, noting that he remained a pillar of strength despite the severity of his illness.
