“Oga Remains the best : Israel DMW Stans Davido After 2026 Grammy Snub (Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ )

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards may have ended in disappointment for Nigeria’s Afrobeats stars, but for Israel DMW, the result hasn't changed the hierarchy of the music industry.

Following the announcement that Davido and Omah Lay’s hit collaboration "With You" lost the Best African Music Performance trophy to South Africa’s Tyla, Davido's loyal logistics manager took to Instagram to reassure the 30BG fan base.

In a characteristically bold and unfiltered post, Israel DMW made it clear that "Oga" (Davido) doesn't need a gold megaphone to validate his status.

"Back to Back Hit Sh**s"

Sharing a photo of the superstar, Israel emphasized that Davido’s commercial dominance and "deal" value remain unmatched, regardless of the Recording Academy's voting.

Grammy Award or not, Oga still remains the Best Deal 100 Mad,” Israel wrote. “Back to Back Hit Shits Continues. Una go hear sweet music taya.”

The statement was a rallying cry for the "30 Billion Gang," signaling that Davido’s focus remains on his prolific output rather than award season setbacks. The singer, who was also seen celebrating Fela Kuti's posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award earlier in the weekend, has yet to comment personally on the loss.

The 2026 Grammys proved to be a bittersweet night for the Nigerian music scene. While the industry celebrated Fela Kuti's historic recognition, the current generation of stars—including Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid—all went home empty-handed as Tyla secured her second consecutive win in the African category.

Davido’s Recent Grammy History:

In 2024 3 nominations (including Timeless and "Unavailable").

In 2025 Nominated for "Sensational" (with Chris Brown & Lojay).

In 2026Nominated for "With You" (with Omahlay)

Israel DMW’s post has already sparked a wave of support across social media, with many fans echoing his "Oga is the best" sentiment.

"Israel is the hype man everyone needs in their life," one fan commented on X. "Grammy or no Grammy, the hits aren't stopping."

As Davido prepares for the next leg of his global tour, his team’s message is loud and clear: the music comes first, and the "sweet music" is far from over.
