The long-standing rivalry between Nigeria’s biggest fanbases has taken a fiery new turn as comedian and content creator Carter Efe hit back at influencer Tunde Perry over comments regarding Afrobeats megastar Wizkid.

The exchange follows a viral livestream featuring Carter Efe and Davido, which the comedian claims has fundamentally transformed his life and career.

The drama began when Tunde Perry, a known associate/supporter of Wizkid, reportedly mocked Carter Efe, asserting that the comedian would "never see" or get close to the "Essence" singer.

Responding in a heated video, Carter Efe dismissed the need for Wizkid’s validation, questioning the singer’s status in comparison to the tangible benefits he has received from his recent association with Davido.

"Wetin I wan use Wizkid do? Wizkid na God?" Efe questioned during his rebuttal.

Carter Efe was quick to credit his recent streak of luck to the OBO himself. Since Davido appeared on his livestream, Efe claims his "grace" has multiplied, leading to:

Multiple corporate partnerships, Fans and associates "dashing" him money, and An influx of high-level outreach from industry players.

"Because you sit down near Wizkid, body dey sweet you, you come dey talk anyhow," Efe said, addressing Perry. "Come sit down with Davido make you see how your life go change."

The spat has once again divided social media into the familiar "30BG" (Davido) and "Wizkid FC" camps. While some fans defend Efe’s right to celebrate his success, others view his comments as disrespectful to Wizkid’s legacy.

Regardless of the side fans take, one thing is clear: the "Davido Effect" is currently paying dividends for Carter Efe, and he isn't trading it for a photo op with "Starboy" anytime soon.
