South Africa ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ: DJ Sbu Cries Foul After YouTube Deletes His 140k-Subscriber Channel

South African media mogul and entrepreneur Sibusiso Leope, popularly known as DJ Sbu, has expressed shock and frustration after his personal YouTube channel was abruptly taken down.

The channel, which had grown to over 140,000 subscribers, served as a major platform for his motivational content, interviews, and business insights. According to the veteran broadcaster, the termination occurred without warning or a clear explanation from the streaming giant.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), DJ Sbu reached out to his fellow South African content creators, acknowledging the collective effort required to build a digital presence in the country. "S/O to all South African YouTubers... I'm proud of all the growth & success we have all achieved over the years of putting in consistent hard work," he wrote. "My personal channel has been taken down with over 140k subscribers for no reason."

The entrepreneur highlighted the immense "inconvenience" caused by the sudden loss of the platform, noting that only those within the creator community could truly understand the impact of losing years of work in an instant.

The takedown comes at a time when many creators globally have voiced concerns over YouTube’s automated flagging systems and "no-reason" terminations. For DJ Sbu, who has transitioned heavily into digital broadcasting via projects like The Hustlers Corner, this loss represents a significant blow to his digital reach.
