Nigeria 🇳🇬: Emeka Ike Drags Jaruma Over "Disgusting" Video Featuring His Son
Veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has launched a scathing social media attack on popular Kayanmata seller, Jaruma, demanding the immediate removal of his name and image from her promotional content.
The veteran actor’s outburst was triggered by a video posted on Jaruma’s page featuring his first son, Michael. In an emotional and heated Instagram post, Ike distanced himself from the Jaruma brand, describing her content as "indecent" and "rubbish."
"Stop Messing With the E.I Brand"
Ike did not hold back in his disapproval of the association, emphasizing that he has worked hard to maintain a "decent" reputation over his decades-long career.
"JARUMA! JARUMA!! JARUMA!!! what the hell is this? What's my name and picture got to do with this disgusting videos?" Ike wrote. "I have nothing to do with your products and I dissociate myself from your brand... Stop messing with the huge E.I brand."
The actor further hinted at potential legal consequences, stating that his legal team is currently reviewing the situation.
A Father’s Grief: "You Left School to Play Mummy's Boy"
The post also pulled back the curtain on a fractured relationship between the actor and his son, Michael. Ike alleged that Michael’s mother (Ike's ex-wife) withdrew the boy from university against his wishes, promising him fame as an influencer instead.
According to the post, Ike had ambitious plans for Michael, including:
Ensuring he finished university before entering the arts.
Securing a home and job opportunities for him abroad.
Bringing him "under his wings" to follow in his footsteps the right way.
"You refused home training, now JARUMA of all brands is training you," Ike lamented. "I got you a home abroad... and there you lay, like a lame duck, looking lost on JARUMA's bed."
Expressing concern for his son's mental state, the actor suggested that those involved might need "rehab," claiming Michael appeared "mentally numbed." He concluded his post with a prayer for his son to "come back to his senses" and escape what he described as a "disgusting business."
As of the time of this report, Jaruma has not officially responded to the actor's demands or the allegations regarding the nature of the video.
