I Am Not a Prostitute": Ayo Labinjoh Breaks Silence on Davido Paternity Scandal (Nigeria 🇳🇬)
"Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of Anu Adeleke, has issued an emotional and scathing public statement addressing her long-standing dispute with Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
In a detailed address aimed at clearing her reputation and protecting her daughter’s mental health, Labinjoh refuted claims that she met the singer under illicit circumstances, while also accusing the Adeleke family of manipulating DNA test results for over a decade.
"I Was a Waitress, Not a Street Walker"
Labinjoh’s statement comes in response to recent social media tension where Davido allegedly referred to her as a "bitch" and claimed never to have met her. Labinjoh clarified that their initial meeting took place at GQ Club in Ibadan, where she was employed as a waitress.
David Adeleke has largely ignored me for years because he thought he picked up a prostitute... I was a waitress and not picked up on the streets. I come from a good home," Labinjoh stated, citing her late father’s service to Nigeria as evidence of her upbringing.
A central theme of Labinjoh’s address was the legitimacy of previous paternity tests. She specifically called out Davido’s legal team and a lab technician for what she describes as a "fake result" issued in 2014.
Labinjoh alleges that blood drawn from her daughter, Anu, was discarded behind their backs.
She named a lab technician, Wale Sobola, alleging he masked as "Dr. Alex" to facilitate a fraudulent report.
Despite the Adeleke camp reportedly claiming multiple tests have been conducted, Labinjoh insists a "clean, independent" test has never occurred.
The most harrowing part of the statement focused on the impact this public battle has had on Anu. Labinjoh described a history of severe bullying that led to the young girl fainting in school and requiring psychotherapy.
According to Labinjoh, the situation escalated recently when Davido allegedly messaged the young girl directly. "David chatted my daughter tonight threatening to lock me up, cursing Anu and repeatedly bullying her," she claimed.
Seeking to end the decade-long dispute, Labinjoh announced her intention to move the matter beyond Nigerian jurisdiction.
As Davido is a US citizen, she intends to request federal supervision of a new DNA test.
She is demanding a test witnessed by the US Embassy in Lagos or Abuja to ensure transparency.
Labinjoh emphasized that this is no longer a fight for child support, but a fight for her daughter's "identity."
The Adeleke camp has yet to issue an official response to these specific allegations of bullying and DNA manipulation.
