Kenyan influencer Pritty Vishy has ignited a fresh debate after taking to social media to passionately defend her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, firing back at critics she labeled as "illiterate" on the topic.

In a fiery post shared on her Instagram story, Vishy urged her followers to educate themselves before passing judgment on public figures who choose body modification.

The Controversial Post

Vishy's strongly-worded statement was directed squarely at individuals commenting negatively on her recent physical transformation, which includes liposuction.

"Many of you are so illiterate about this cosmetic surgery thing heeeeeeh 😭 please before you comment anything just do your own research kuna google kuna ChatGPT and more ways to research," she wrote, mixing English and Sheng.

The influencer did not stop there, directly addressing the popular sentiment of "embrace what God gave you."

"Kwa my fellow 'embrace what God gave you' it's okay but lemme tell you I will not embrace it me eeeeeh I'll go change even my name 😜," she declared.

Vishy concluded her post by sharing the emotional and psychological benefits she has personally experienced since her procedure: "When you start working on yourself there's this joy and love that comes with it 6 Kama ujai jichukia uezi elewa (If you have never hated yourself, you won't understand)."

Pritty Vishy has been open about her struggles and her journey to self-acceptance, which ultimately led her to pursue cosmetic enhancements. Her decision to undergo liposuction was widely reported, and she has consistently expressed her newfound confidence and love for her body post-surgery.

Her recent remarks underscore a growing divide on social media between those who advocate for natural beauty and those who champion personal choice and self-improvement through medical means.
