The tension was initially fueled by unverified claims on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting Lungile had allegedly demanded R1 million to appear on Lasizwe’s popular YouTube show, Awkward Dates.

However, the celebrity is now clarifying the cause of the separation, insisting the rift is not financially motivated.
