Actress, designer, and television presenter Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has officially announced the end of her high-profile divorce from internationally acclaimed DJ Black Coffee (Nkosinathi Maphumulo). After a challenging legal battle that has spanned several years and often made headlines, Mlotshwa took to Instagram to share a deeply emotional and reflective post, celebrating the final court ruling and expressing profound gratitude to her legal team and family.

An Emotional Declaration of Freedom

In a statement posted to her social media, Mlotshwa declared her independence with a triumphant change of title.

"Today, with great emotion, I write this. I am officially Miss Mlotshwa," she wrote. "I'm so grateful for this ugly journey that gave me so many lessons. Today God has laid a table for me."

The divorce proceedings, which began after the couple announced their separation in 2019, have been notoriously fraught, involving disputes over the validity of their customary marriage, spousal support, and legal fees.

Victory for Women's Rights

Mlotshwa made it clear that her fight was not just personal but also a principled stand. She highlighted the broader implications of the legal victory, particularly for other women in South Africa.

"These lawyers, advocates and senior attorneys have pushed me and reminded me of the greatness I had in me, reminded me how important it was to fight, most importantly for my children and more so for the rights of women in South Africa," Mlotshwa stated.

The actress specifically thanked her legal firm, Jerry Nkeli Attorneys and Associates, who successfully argued that her customary marriage was valid and in community of property, thereby invalidating a subsequent antenuptial contract. Reports indicate that the court also ordered Black Coffee to pay spousal maintenance to Mlotshwa.

Gratitude for Her Pillars of Strength

Mlotshwa used the platform to offer heartfelt thanks to the personal network that supported her through the protracted legal journey. She singled out her lawyer, Jerry Nkeli, for his dedication: “Thank you to @jerrynkeli who is now my father since my father is no more. This man fought for me as if I was his blood daughter and I will forever be grateful..."

She also praised her mother, sister, and close friends for providing unwavering emotional support and maintaining her privacy.

"Thank you to my mother who took on this journey on her shoulders as if it were her own... She held space," she wrote, adding thanks to her sister for being there "holding my hand when I was holding back tears."

Mlotshwa concluded her statement with an acknowledgment of her faith and the friends who ensured her "intimate life has never spilled out onto Media," marking a decisive and public end to one of South Africa's most followed celebrity divorces.
