South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ: GRAMMY-WINNER TYLA TO HEADLINE AFRO NATION PORTUGAL 2026
South African global sensation and Grammy Award-winner, Tyla, has been announced as a headliner for the highly anticipated Afro Nation Portugal 2026 festival.
The "Water" hitmaker, known for her distinctive "Popiano" sound—a fusion of Pop and Amapiano—will take the main stage at Praia da Rocha, Portimรฃo, as part of the world's largest Afrobeats festival.
Tyla joins a stellar lineup for the three-day event, which is scheduled to take place from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026. Organisers have confirmed that she will headline alongside Nigerian music powerhouses Wizkid and Asake.
This headlining slot solidifies Tyla's status as one of the fastest-rising global superstars in music, marking a significant milestone in her career following her historic Grammy win for Best African Music Performance.
The festival promises an epic celebration of African music and culture, with other confirmed acts including American rapper Gunna (as a special guest), Olamide, Mariah the Scientist, Young Jonn, Darkoo, and Congolese Soukous legend Awilo Longomba.
In addition to the main stage, the 2026 edition will feature the return of the dedicated Piano People stage for Amapiano fans and the debut of the Afrotonic Stage, a new platform for electronic fusions of African music.
Ticket pre-sale for Afro Nation Portugal 2026 begins on October 9th, with the general sale starting on October 10th.
