Internet Personality Cites Compulsive Eating, Physical and Mental Health Battles as Reasons for Content Pause

In a surprising and candid revelation, popular food content creator Asherkine has publicly addressed the two-year hiatus from his signature large-volume "binge-eating" videos, citing a severe impact on his personal health and a struggle with what he terms "compulsive eating disorder."

The internet personality, who became known for regularly consuming and reviewing "over 5 different meals" in a single sitting, made the announcement via a detailed social media thread, explaining that the demands of his content had bled into his personal life, causing him to lose control over his eating habits.

"i never answered to why i paused making this type of food content; i genuinely enjoyed clearing up over 5 different meals regularly until my body told me," Asherkine wrote.

He explained that while he maintained an active and fit lifestyle at the time, his professional activity eventually turned into a personal struggle. "i lost the concept of moderation as mindless binge eating became the OOTD even when i wasn't creating content. i wouldn't stop eating until i started to feel abdominal discomfort."

Asherkine detailed a host of physical complications that arose from the constant overeating. These symptoms included general discomfort, "heart palpitations, excess weight gain, irregular sleep, sneaky high blood pressure count, constant fatigue and so on."

However, he stressed that the most challenging aspect was the mental toll. "the mental battle to beat gluttony is probably the hardest thing to deal with," he confessed. "I can't express how disrespectful gluttony is and how much power it holds but it's mad underrated. It's 2 years after and i still chat to the pit in my tummy."

He used the opportunity to connect with his audience, acknowledging others who may be facing similar difficulties. "If you struggle with COMPULSIVE EATING DISORDER, shout out you. pay attention, i'm no health practitioner but don't underplay it."

While assuring fans that he will continue to create food-related content, Asherkine confirmed that the excessive portion sizes are a thing of the past. "i'll still make food content but definitely not in such volume," he concluded. "Love, kine."

Asherkine's honesty sheds light on the often-unseen health risks associated with food content trends and reinforces the growing conversation around eating disorders and mental wellness in the public eye. Fans have responded with an outpouring of support, commending his bravery for prioritizing his health over content views.
