In South Africa; Cubique DJ Heartbroken After Stolen Car Found Stripped
South African music producer Cubique DJ has expressed his devastation after his stolen vehicle was found stripped for parts following the popular Scorpion Kings Live concert at Loftus Stadium.
The artist, who was at the sold-out show, shared the unfortunate news on his X (formerly Twitter) page. He said the tracking company located his car in Soweto, but it was already dismantled. “Update, tracker found it in Soweto stripped,” he wrote, expressing his frustration.
Despite the incident, Cubique DJ still took time to commend Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa for hosting what many have called one of the best shows of the year.
The producer's followers quickly responded with messages of sympathy and support. One fan tried to find a silver lining, saying, “At least the show was 10/10. Insurance will take care of the car.” Another added, “Not only was the show 10/10… You are about to get a new car.”
Many fans also expressed relief that Cubique DJ was not present during the theft. “Hade mate, just glad you weren’t there when they took it, that’s another trauma I wouldn’t wish on anyone,” a user wrote.
The incident also sparked a larger conversation among social media users about the safety of attending major events in South Africa. Some shared their own fears, while others suggested alternatives like parking nearby and taking an Uber to the stadium to avoid such risks.
