South Africa: Emtee Denies Affair Claims, Apologizes to Mshini After Private Chats Leak
The recent scandal surrounding South African rapper Emtee's leaked private texts with former Big Brother Mzansi contestant Mshini, which led to widespread rumours of an affair, has been officially addressed. The "Roll Up" hitmaker strongly refuted the rumours in a statement, saying he had "nothing to do with the women" that were referenced in the chat.
He explained that Mshini's public endorsement of his music during the reality program was the only reason he was interested in her. As Emtee wrote, "I do not know Mshini personally," She supports my craft, as I saw when I watched her on Big Brother, like most people do.I wanted to express my gratitude to her in person.
The rapper made a point of stating that he was married and that his goal was to discuss the possibility of working together. "I had no other intention but to say thank you and figure out a way we could work together since she is a public figure, a hard worker, and a good person in general from what I see." In addition, Emtee apologised to Mshini, her staff, and her loved ones for the leak, claiming he had nothing to do with the private discussion being made public. "I would never intentionally expose our conversations and put her safety at risk...I DID NOT POST THE CONVERSATIONS," he stated.
