Kenya: Vera Sidika Flaunts New Range Rover, Dismisses Critics and Competitors
Renowned Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has set the record straight regarding her latest luxury acquisition: a brand new, "legit new shape" Range Rover. Sidika took to her Instagram stories to emphatically address questions and criticisms from fans, particularly those comparing her choice of vehicle to other celebrities' lavish purchases.
Responding to a fan who asked why she didn't opt for a Lamborghini like Nigerian reality TV star Mercy Eke, Sidika humorously questioned the need for celebrities to "copy paste & buy exact same cars." She declared herself a "Rover girl," stating that Lamborghinis and Rolls Royces would come in due time, but her priority lies elsewhere.
"I don't prioritize cars 'coz they depreciate," Sidika explained, adding, "Otherwise I would be popping up with new cars every year btw a [sic] see but I prefer acres & properties instead."
The highlight of her rebuttal came when she asserted her unique position among Kenyan celebrities. "Oh even with that I'm the only celebrity in Kenya who owns a legit new shape Rover. Not facelift. No hire. No loans. Oh & not a stolen Rover. Oops," she boldly claimed, seemingly taking a subtle jab at her peers.
When questioned about the "photoshoot vibes" of her car reveal, Sidika was quick to defend her extravagant approach. "So people can't do photoshoots for their new cars anymore? I don't understand," she wrote, implying that her critics might be accustomed to "basic car reveals or announcements by the roadside or tea plantations."
True to her self-proclaimed status as a "trendsetter," Sidika revealed she "literally paid a production team to shoot," noting that the "bill for the shoot alone can buy another small car." Her unapologetic display and direct responses have once again positioned her at the center of social media conversation, reinforcing her image as a celebrity who defies convention and embraces an opulent lifestyle.
