Angela okorie claps back at Regina daniels over her response to her mercy johnson forgiveness comments

After Nollywood actress Regina Daniels openly criticised her senior colleague Angela Okorie for remarks she made about veteran actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie, the Nigerian film industry is in a frenzy. According to reports, Angela Okorie said she was forgiving Mercy Johnson since she had heard that Johnson was ill, which sparked the dispute. Regina Daniels, however, did not agree with this viewpoint and strongly expressed her disdain on her Instagram Stories.

Daniels did not hold back in a scathing remark, writing: "I apologise and with all due respect, aunty Angella You're crazy! Abeg doesn't forgive because we don't forgive on this side. Keep going, and don't forget to mention that she gets pikin wey gidigba. "No Dey shalaye!" Daniels's scathing criticism, which amounts to a stern warning and a firm rejection of Okorie's "forgiveness," went viral very fast. One interpretation of the term "she get pikin wey gidigba" is a furious caution, perhaps referring to Mercy Johnson's strong morals or her strong support network, which includes her kids.

Fans and industry watchers have been debating the issue extensively, with many offering their opinions on the nature of forgiveness, particularly when it comes to someone's health, and the propriety of public disputes amongst coworkers. As of the time of this article, Regina Daniels's remark had not received a public response from Mercy Johnson or Angela Okorie.
