OAU Students Humiliate TML Vibez, Force Prostration Onstage

Fast-rising Nigerian singer TML Vibez faced an unusual demand from students at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) over the weekend, who insisted he perform a traditional prostration before being allowed to continue his set. The incident, captured in a now-viral video, brought the concert to a brief halt.

The Dapper Music signee was moments into his performance at a university concert when the OAU crowd erupted in chants of "Dobale! Dobale!" – a Yoruba term demanding a show of respect through prostration. Despite his initial attempts to proceed, the students remained resolute, effectively pausing the show.

Clad in a brown jacket and white jeans, TML Vibez eventually acceded to the students' demands after intervention from event organizers. He was seen on stage performing a full prostration, a cultural gesture of deep respect, which finally prompted cheers and approval from the enthusiastic crowd.

"My people make una no vex," the singer said, a phrase roughly translating to "My people, don't be angry," after fulfilling the unique request, allowing the concert to resume without further interruption.
