Juliet Ibrahim, Ghana's first president of Women in Film and Television


 

 Juliet Ibrahim, a well-known actress, producer, and businesswoman from Ghana, has been elected as the first President of Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Ghana. Gender empowerment and representation in Ghana's creative sector have advanced significantly with this historic appointment. In order to support women's professional development in all facets of cinema, television, and allied media, WIFT Ghana was founded as an affiliate of the global WIFT International network. It is anticipated that Ibrahim's leadership will give the organisation a powerful voice and guidance as it sets out on its mission.


WIFT Ghana will prioritise fostering connections, offering learning materials, promoting equitable representation, and honouring the accomplishments of women in Ghanaian cinema and television. Juliet Ibrahim, whose career has spanned more than 20 years, brings to her new position a depth of experience, influence, and a profound comprehension of the opportunities and difficulties facing the sector. The industry has greeted her appointment with great excitement, with many people thinking that her commitment and vision will play a key role in creating a more equal and inclusive atmosphere for women in Ghanaian media.
