Remain. Amidst rumours of his comeback, Jay declares, "I'm Not Retired; This Is Just the Beginning"

Stay Jay, a Ghanaian musician, has vehemently refuted reports that his career is coming to an end, saying he is "too young to retire." With his new Amapiano hit, "Baajo," the Tema-based musician is making a daring comeback to the public eye and ushering in a lively new era in his musical career. Rejecting rumours that his career was coming to an end, Stay Jay claimed,

"They can go to sleep. My career is very much active. I’ve learned, I’ve grown, and I’m now more prepared than ever to embrace and face the world."

More than just a resurgence, his most recent effort, "Baajo," which translates to "come and dance" in Ga, is characterised as a "vibrant celebration of rhythm, community, and cultural pride." The upbeat Amapiano song creates a distinctively Ghanaian interpretation of the well-known style by skilfully fusing Stay Jay's distinctive Twi Pop sound with the irresistible pulse of the genre. The vibrant 2-minute, 48-second song, which was produced by SkyBeatz and released earlier this month, combines powerful percussion, heartfelt melodies, and happy chants that are sure to get listeners moving. According to Stay Jay, the song "Baajo" was inspired by a happy get-together with friends.

"I was at a gathering with friends, and the energy was just beautiful. Everyone was dancing, laughing, and living in the moment. That feeling of connection—that’s what I wanted to bottle up and share with the world," he explained.

Stay Jay stated that he intends to release an EP that will highlight his flexibility and reassert his position in the business. "I’m in the process of putting together an EP that showcases a variety of sounds and themes, and I’m really excited about how it’s shaping up and also about dropping my two-pack albums," he said. With "Baajo," Stay Jay not only reaffirms his existence but also his willingness to come out again, revitalised and ready to keep his fans dancing.
