"Don't Tarnish My Name!" - VeryDarkMan Issues Fiery Warning to EFCC Over Mugshot
In a newly released video, the outspoken critic confirmed that his photograph was taken while in EFCC custody for five days. However, he vehemently asserted that associating the term "money laundering" with his image would have serious repercussions.
"You people took a picture of me," VeryDarkMan stated emphatically in the video. "Where the problem will be is if you release that photo of me with 'money laundering' on it. If you release my picture on your page and I then see 'money laundering,' you people will have to prove it."
He further declared his innocence, stating, "I'm not a fraudster, and if you put 'money laundering,' it only means everyone you once arrested with the same mugshot, it's a lie."
His post-detention address didn't stop at the EFCC. VeryDarkMan also leveled accusations against Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), alleging their involvement in his recent arrest. He claimed to possess video evidence linking the financial institution to the incident and vowed to release it once his seized mobile phone is recovered.
Accompanying the video was a direct message to both the EFCC and GTBank: "Dear EFCC, as we are about to become friends in the quest for a better Nigeria, we have to start with integrity and clean hands. We cannot start with lies… and as for @gtbank, I will be needing some explanations o."
VeryDarkMan's defiant stance and accusations are likely to further fuel the ongoing public discourse surrounding his detention and the circumstances leading to it. His warning to the EFCC underscores the sensitivity surrounding his image and the potential legal ramifications of any mischaracterization. The public now awaits further developments, including any official response from the EFCC and GTBank, as well as the promised release of VeryDarkMan's alleged video evidence.
