Veteran Artist Eedris Abdulkareem's Banned Protest Song Gets New Life

 

Nigerian social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) has honored his commitment to support veteran artist Eedris Abdulkareem by funding a new video for his banned protest song "Tell Your Papa". The song was recently banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) due to its "inappropriate and disrespectful" content.

In response to the ban, VDM criticized the government's stance and pledged to produce a new version of the song's video. True to his word, VDM has sent funds to filmmaker Shalom Chiki Uyi to direct the new production. The new video, titled "Tell Your Papa 2", will reportedly spotlight even more issues and feature a lookalike of President Tinubu.

VDM shared a payment receipt on social media, confirming his involvement in the project. The respected Shalom Chiki Films studio will be behind the camera, with Seyi directing the project. The development has generated excitement among fans and supporters of Eedris Abdulkareem and VeryDarkMan.
