Ebuka Songs Reveals Reason for Departure from Moses Bliss' Record Label
Gospel singer Ebuka Songs has clarified his decision to leave Moses Bliss' record label, Spotlite Nation, after a brief period of time. The artist, who initially signed a three-year contract, departed after just 11 months, sparking speculation among his fans.
While Moses Bliss had previously indicated that Ebuka chose to pursue an independent path, Ebuka has now provided further insight into his motivations. In a recent interview on the "Open Up" podcast, he explained that his departure was driven by a desire to prioritize his ministry.
"I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life," Ebuka stated, acknowledging the support he received during his time with the label. He credited Bliss with helping him navigate the professional aspects of his music career. "At that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally."
However, Ebuka emphasized that he felt a calling to focus more directly on his ministry. "I am grateful for the journey that I have been through, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space," he said.
He also addressed his decision to remain silent about his departure until now, explaining that he aimed to avoid unnecessary controversy. "The reason why I kept quiet about my exit or didn’t say anything since that time is because I didn’t want it to generate more conversations," Ebuka revealed. "We all get to the point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives, and for me, that is the assignment of God upon my life."
Despite leaving the label, Ebuka stressed that there is no animosity between him and Moses Bliss or the Spotlite Nation team. He reassured his followers that he is in a positive place and focused on his spiritual calling.
