Sean "Diddy" Combs has filed his third request for bail in the ongoing sex trafficking case against him.
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team is set to file a third petition for his release from prison, just two weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.
According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Alexandra Shapiro, a member of Combs' legal team, filed a notice of appeal on Monday following the musician's second denial of bail. Combs was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on September 16 and has been incarcerated at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center since.
The 14-page court document detailing the allegations against Combs paints a disturbing picture of the music mogul's alleged involvement in a series of "freak offs," which prosecutors describe as elaborate sex shows. Combs is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his victims.
Magistrate Judge Robyn F Tarnofsky cited concerns about Combs' suspected substance addiction and temper difficulties when denying bail for the second time. She expressed doubts about his ability to refrain from harming others.
Despite the serious allegations against him, Combs has maintained his innocence and has been removed from suicide watch while in prison. A source told People that he has received visits from his family and is focused on his defense.
Combs' next court appearance is scheduled for October 9. As his legal team prepares for another attempt to secure his release, the case continues to generate significant public interest and raises questions about the extent of the allegations against the music icon.
