Aviation Businessman Claims No Nigerian Singer Owns a Private Jet, Including Davido

A prominent figure in the Nigerian aviation industry has dispelled rumors that Nigerian musicians possess private jets, asserting that none of them own their own aircraft.

The statement comes in response to a viral video shared by a fan of Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, which falsely suggested that the musician owned a private jet. The aviation businessman, a co-founder of a private jet charter company, clarified that Nigerian musicians typically rely on charter services for their air travel needs.

While Davido, the renowned singer and head of the DMW record label, is often seen traveling in a private jet, the businessman explained that the aircraft belongs to Davido's billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke. Davido does not personally own a private jet.

In a tweet, the aviation businessman wrote: Nobody owns a jet in the Nigerian music industry. It’s all charter, apart from Davido who flies his Dad’s jet.

This clarification aims to correct the misconception that Nigerian musicians have acquired private jets, providing a more accurate understanding of their air travel arrangements.
