Rema's visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin created a lot of excitement and respect throughout the city.
Rema returned to his hometown of Benin, Edo State, a few days before his big homecoming concert. He wanted to reconnect with his roots and honor the people who came before him. The concert, scheduled for August 30 at the famous Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, was announced in July and caused a lot of excitement in the country. Rema's visit was not just about his music; it was a celebration of the place where he grew up. He met with the Governor of Edo State and spent time with important people in the city, thanking them for helping him become so successful.
The most memorable part of Rema's visit was when he went to the Oba of Benin's palace. He showed his respect by kneeling and bowing deeply, which showed how important his culture was to him. With the Oba's blessing, Rema asked to perform his famous song in the palace's special area. When he was allowed, the young singer started singing his popular song, and his voice sounded beautiful. Everyone in the room, from the royal court to the guests, joined him in singing, and their voices together created a feeling of unity and celebration.
