McBrown revealed that she left UTV because she was unhappy with her job there.

 Nana Ama McBrown left UTV to join Media General because she was dissatisfied with her role at UTV.

McBrown explained in an interview that she decided to leave UTV because she felt it was time for a change. She mentioned that she typically stays at a job until she feels she has achieved her goals and no longer benefits from being there.

McBrown stated that if she ever feels she has reached a plateau at Media General, she will consider leaving for another opportunity.

Nana Ama McBrown's decision to leave UTV, where she hosted the popular entertainment show United Showbiz, created a lot of buzz in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
