People on social media reacted strongly after Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of Big Brother Naija, revealed that Sooj had hit Onyeka's bottom. After the Saturday Night Gbedu party, Sooj and Onyeka had a brief interaction where Sooj smacked Onyeka's buttocks.

 Ebuka started by asking Sooj what happened between him and his girlfriend, Nelly, after the party. Sooj said they all had a good time at the party and he saw that Nelly was enjoying herself too.

However, when Sooj went to check on Nelly after the party, she acted negatively towards him, which he didn't understand. Ebuka then suggested that Sooj hitting Onyeka on the bottom might be the reason for Nelly's behavior. Sooj claimed that they were both drunk and it was just a joke.
