Toyin Abraham is set to debut a new 'Alakada' movie in December.

Toyin Abraham, the Nollywood actress and director, announced that a sequel to the popular Alakada series titled "Alakada: Bad and Boujee" will hit cinemas in December.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, she announced, "Say Bad and Boujee!!! Alakada: Bad and Bouje #abbmovie will hit cinemas starting from December."

This forthcoming movie signifies the fifth installment in the Alakada series. Fans were initially introduced to Yetunde Animashaun, portrayed by Abraham, in the 2009 film. Yetunde, who grew up in poverty and struggled with feelings of inferiority, was not satisfied with her societal standing. To mingle with influential individuals on her school campus, she concocted an elaborate story about her social status and wealth.

Sequels such as Alakada 2 (2013), Alakada Reloaded (2017), and Fate of Alakada (2020) are also included in the series. These follow-up films continued Yetunde's story, presenting moments and scenes that deeply connect with audiences.

Specifics regarding the storyline of the film, "Alakada: Bad and Boujee," have not been disclosed yet. However, fans can certainly expect Abraham's distinctive comedic style and a story that will strike a chord with the series' devoted audience. The title suggests that Yetunde may explore a more "boujee" lifestyle, but whether this unfolds or she encounters entirely fresh comedic scenarios remains unknown.
