The remains of sound engineer, who died alongside Junior Pope, are exhumed and taken for burial in his home town.
The body of Precious Ofurum, the sound engineer who tragically died in the boat accident that also claimed the life of Nollywood actor Junior Pope, has been exhumed for burial in Rivers State. On April 10, Precious, Junior Pope, and three other crew members lost their lives in a boating accident on the River Niger near Asaba, Delta State. They were en route to a movie location.
After the accident, Precious was initially buried near the riverbank due to his family's inability to fulfill the necessary requirements to transport his body back home.
However, Precious' mother appealed to Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, for assistance in repatriating her son's body for a dignified burial. In a video posted on his Instagram page, movie producer Stanley Nwoke showcased individuals preparing the late sound engineer's remains in a white coffin for transportation to Rivers. The filmmaker noted that Precious' family, along with members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), were present during the exhumation of his remains on Tuesday.
Stanley also shared another video depicting the sound engineer's burial ceremony in his hometown in Rivers.
