Royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embark on their maiden trip to Nigeria.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle touched down in Nigeria on Friday morning for their first-ever visit to the country. The couple will embark on a 72-hour tour.

Both of them embarked on a British Airways overnight flight bound for Abuja, which encountered a minor delay due to the scheduled pilot falling ill, necessitating a quick replacement.

Seated in the first-class compartment of the Boeing 777, the pair, on their inaugural trip to Nigeria together, were separated from fellow passengers by a partition.

Their arrival comes after Harry expressed his excitement about returning to the UK this week to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He had been in London since Tuesday, engaging in various events associated with the competition, including a thanksgiving service.

As they disembarked from the plane, the couple exchanged smiles with the cabin crew, while Nigerian officials greeted them at Abuja Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Subsequently, they were swiftly driven away in a blacked-out minibus waiting on the tarmac through a side entrance.
