Describing her accusers as "paid defenders of cheats and infidels," she expressed her bewilderment at the accusations that she played a role in the breakup of May and Yul Edochie's marriage.

Stating that her critics take issue with her for her aversion to lies and her commitment to truth, she emphasized that there's always a purpose behind her mentioning May's name. Rita Edochie firmly stands by May, who she believes is being unjustly targeted on social media by a group she refers to as a "drama devil" and associates. She affirmed that Yul Edochie will always be her son, and likewise, May continues to regard him as the father of their children.
