The accusation sparked a heated exchange between Sweezy and an individual identified as Sweezzy on Instagram. Upon seeing the accusation in the comments section, Regina's brother challenged the accuser to provide evidence of the alleged marriage and labeled him as 'mad'.

The man remarked, "You married someone older than you, so take it easy." When Regina's brother noticed that the young man persisted and refused to relent, he responded to the troll by suggesting that he would marry his own mother. He retorted, "Okay then, I'll marry your mother. Or is your mother not sensible?"
