"After an update on his donation to 42 charity homes, famous singer Davido faces a second wave of outbursts, amid the loss incurred by his fans who invested in his meme coin, $Davido. The coin saw a significant increase a few hours after its launch but crashed by over 90% in under 24 hours."

"Davido released a letter from the Coalition of Orphanages and Children’s Homes in Nigeria (COCHIN) regarding his donation from February 2024 amidst the unending backlashes he faced."

The letter expressed appreciation towards the singer in acknowledging that out of the 52 orphanages under the coalition, a total of 42 benefited from the funds.

Despite the singer's intention for his post to elicit a positive response, many criticized him for using charity as a cover-up for his crypto-fraud.
